Commodore 64 Bread Bin Plastic Reinforcements
December 29, 2020
These are the bits that I have been putting together to maintain our Commodore 64 (long-board).
Case for ESP8266 WIFI Modem
This is a case for the ESP8266 wifi modem made by Commodore-Kass. The blue edge connector is screwed into the plastic with plastic screws. If you have a multi-material capable printer, putting a transparent square over the hexagon grid will allow you to see the connection lights more clearly.

Case Reinforcements
As the plastic ages on the breadbin, the posts that hold the case together crack and split and the tabs to hold the back of the case down snap off. These parts can be printed without supports with high in-fill to replace the tabs and reinforce the posts. These parts have been made up in OpenSCAD and have been printed using a Prusa i3mk2.5s MMU2S.
